*Ratings records were set last week at WGN America with its new series “Underground,” drawing 3.5 million viewers for its March 9 premiere, the most for the cable outlet since the late 1990s.
Tonight’s second episode, “War Chest,” focuses on the group’s attempt to amass weapons for their 600 mile journey to freedom. Unfortunately, ringleader Noah (Aldis Hodge), must rely on the loyalty of fellow slave Cato (Alano Miles), who makes a point to flaunt every perk of his job as the plantation’s co-overseer.

Also tonight, budding abolitionists John and Elizabeth Hawkes (Marc Blucas and Jessica De Gouw) discover just how dangerous the cause can be, and head house slave Ernestine (Amirah Vann) reveals the shocking way she ensures the safety of her children.
