*Chris Brown got an assist from the court in his latest custody battle with the mother of his daughter Royalty.

A judge on Tuesday rejected Nia Guzman’s request to restrict Brown’s custody after she claimed he engaged in drug use and was affiliated with gangs, reports TMZ. Insisting Breezy was unfit to care for their daughter without supervision, Guzman requested a monitor during his visits, and sought to reduce the amount of contact he has with their 1-year-old.

But the judge didn’t see things her way, so the existing custody order remains in place. Chris and Nia will continue to have joint legal and physical custody. Chris gets 12 days a month with his daughter and it will continue to be unmonitored.

In a separate matter, Nia is also asking for her child support to be increased from $2,500 per month to nearly $16,000 per month – an issue to be addressed at a later court date.
