*Niecy Nash has signed on to the TNT pilot “Claws,” an hour-long scripted dramedy set in a Southern Florida nail salon – from Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s Le Train Train production company.

According to Deadline, “Claws” follows the lives of five diverse and treacherous Florida manicurists. It soon becomes clear there is a lot more going on at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon than silk wraps and pedicures. Nash will play Desna Simms, the owner of the salon.

Nash most recently starred on HBO’s “Getting On,” which earned her an Emmy nomination, and TV Land’s “The Soul Man.”

She’ll return for Season 2 of Fox’s horror anthology series “Scream Queens,” reprising her role as Denise Hemphill.

“Claws” marks Rashida Jones’ second project for Turner this year. She executive produces and stars in “Angie Tribeca,” a cop show parody currently airing on TNT’s sister network TBS.
