*Law enforcement officials told TMZ that they believe a wave of recent jewelry robberies targeting celebrities may be the beginning of a new “bling ring” like the one that made headlines for terrorizing L.A.’s rich and famous in 2008. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department has been piecing together clues from the recent robberies, and they believe Kevin Hart, Chris Brown and Blac Chyna’s home invasions might be linked.
You’ll recall, Brown’s home was robbed (where his aunt was held at gun point) and thieves stole money and jewelry in July 2015. Blac Chyna was jacked for $200K in May 2016. And just last week, Kevin Hart’s home was ironed of over $500K.

Kourtney Kardashian’s baby daddy Scott Disick’s home was also robbed recently and he was included in the investigation. Law enforcement believe the culprit(s) could possibly be someone closely linked to all the celebrities. According to TMZ, the burglars knew exactly where to look for jewelry and large sums of cash which is an indicator that the criminal(s) is someone the victims may know.
As of now, there still aren’t any suspects, but it seems law enforcement is closing in on who the burglar(s) may be.
The original Bling Ring were a group of convicted thieves consisting of eight teenagers and young adults based in and around Calabasas, California. They burgled the homes of several celebrities over a between October 2008 through August 2009. Their crime netted about $3 million in cash and belongings. Much of the stolen property belonged to Paris Hilton, whose house had been burgled several times, though over fifty homes were reportedly targeted for potential burglary.
There was a Lifetime television movie documenting the group’s activities, and director Sofia Coppola released a film about the young robbers starring Emma Watson. Paris Hilton, appears as herself in the film.
