*Missy Elliott will join Queen Latifah among the honorees at VH1 Hip Hop Honors, which returns next month after a six-year hiatus to honor the ladies of hip hop.

The network states:

Elliott is a rap powerhouse with six albums and five Grammy Awards to her name. She’s sold more than 30 million records in the United States and has a slew of hits that give us eternal life, including “Get Ur Freak On,” “One Minute Man” and “Work It.”

“VH1 Hip Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens” will take place in New York City on July 11 at 9 p.m.

As previously reported, the show is being executive produced by Latifah’s Flavor Unit production company.
