Next month, you can go out and see the uber handsome Morris Chestnut, in his new film, “When The Bough Breaks.”
The actor talked with EUR about filming the psycho thriller, his character and co-stars, Regina Hall and Jaz Sinclair.
EUR: How mentally challenging was it to play this role?
Morris Chestnut: Yes, it was mentally challenging because there are so many different dynamics. I’m reacting to a lot of things, a lot of people around me, and sometimes not necessarily saying anything…but I have to be thinking.
EUR: How much of you is in this character?
Morris Chestnut: There is a bit of me in every character, it just depends on what is happening in the scene and what is happening with the character’s life…Then that is what I bring out or suppress.
EUR: You and Regina Hall have been in a lot of films together, what was it like working together this time around?
Morris Chestnut: The last movie we worked on together, I don’t believe we talked in a scene. I didn’t really talk to her character and now we are doing a lot of talking, touching and a lot of kissing.
EUR: Jaz Sinclair is a young new actress, what was it like working with her?
Morris Chestnut: Jaz is great! She reminds me of when I was first starting out…just being on the set, amazed by everything, the innocence, the learning, and the newness of everything. She’s a great actress.
EUR: Talk about filming in Louisiana and not California…
Morris Chestnut: I’m glad it’s here instead of California because California is the Mecca of the film industry, so everyone has seen California. I like being here and seeing the different aspects. We have the lake house, a huge plantation style house, and I like the different elements of the city.
EUR: What would be your ultimate role?
Morris Chestnut: I would like to do more action movies.
