Ms. Lauryn Hill*Ms. Lauryn Hill will kick off a nationwide tour later this month, which launches on August 27 at The Mann in Philadelphia and carries on through November. There’s no word on whether a new album with coincide will the tour, but one thing is for certain: fans interested in attending the show should prepare for Hill to take the stage hours later than the scheduled start time. In related news, NPR Music has launched a new short-form documentary series in Noteworthy, and first up is Miguel. The native LA crooner joins acclaimed journalist Jason King in a chat to discuss his artistic influences, creative process, and how both have changed over the years.

He also notes how to be a more politically and socially conscious artist in an age when most of his peers would rather #turnup than speak out against the issues that are plaguing black folks and our communities.
