*In what ended with a murder suicide this past Sunday, congregation members at 2nd Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church on West side Chicago were shocked at the events that followed a most likely beautiful service at their church that morning.
Once the service ended, and 38-year-old Trinyce L. Sanders-Wilson left the church and went to her car, her husband appeared with a gun and killed her.
He then turned the gun on himself.
ABC7’s Will Jones say witnesses claim the woman’s husband was waiting for her outside with a gun. Sanders-Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:26 p.m. according of officials. Andrew Davis witnessed the horrific incident and told the media that he heard “a pop” after the woman reached her car, and then saw her fall. He said a man came and stood over her and then shot her two times.
Though it is always extremely hard to hear such words at a time like this, Reverend Kenneth Giles spoke to the media outside, saying, “God doesn’t always give us advance warning about how He is going to have things happen in our lives. We have to trust Him. Trust the word of God that says, ‘We walk by faith and not by sight.'”
