*Taye Diggs is the latest celebrity to use their social media platforms to express frustration over the alarming number of police-involved shootings and lost lives of Black men, women, and youth.

The video footage showing the killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile ignited worldwide rage and protests. Most recently, 23-year-old Korryne Gaines lost her life in front of her 5-year-old son following a reportedly hostile stand-off with Baltimore County police.

Diggs took to Instagram to pen a heartbreaking story poem, written under a blank black square, that details the experience of a young boy who, after watching his parents view the fatal shooting of a Black boy by police on TV, questions if he’ll have the same fate.
