*The Sept. 2 death of N.W.A.’s former manager Jerry Heller has caused mixed reaction throughout hip hop, and even across people linked to the Compton-based group.
Eazy-E’s daughter E.B. Wright says she was “depressed” over the loss. TMZ caught her leaving Ace of Diamonds and asked her whether she thought his defamation lawsuit over the N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton” contributed to his death, as Heller’s lawyer insists.
Meanwhile, Ice Cube and his son O’Shea Jackson Jr. thought differently.
Appearing on Detroit’s 107.5 “The Morning Heat,” Cube said he had no emotions at all when he heard about Heller dying over the weekend. His son was a bit more diplomatic with his answer, trying hard to weigh Heller’s good and bad characteristics in an interview with TMZ.
