*Tony Award winner Renée Elise Goldsberry who currently stars as Angelica Schuyler Church in Broadway’s “Hamilton” and will star opposite Oprah Winfrey in HBO Films’ “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” will voice a guest role for season two of Disney Junior’s hit animated series “The Lion Guard,” which continues the epic storytelling of Disney’s “The Lion King.”
According to the press release, Goldsberry will voice Dhahabu the Golden Zebra, the charismatic leader of a group of zebras. See attached image of Goldsberry in the record studio, as well as an image of her character.
FUN FACT: Goldsberry’s Broadway debut was as Nala in “The Lion King.”
“The Lion Guard” is executive-produced by Ford Riley and airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. For 2016 to date, it is the #1 series across preschooler-dedicated TV networks in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5, Boys 2-5 and Adults/Women 18-49. Globally, the series has reached over 87 million viewers worldwide in 155 countries and 29 different languages.
Back in July, it was announced that Goldsberry signed on to the upcoming Netflix series “Altered Carbon.” Created by Laeta Kalogridis, the drama is based on the novel by Richard K. Morgan. Ten episodes have been ordered by Netflix, although a premiere date has not been announced.

Meanwhile, Odell Beckham Jr. is causing a frenzy once again with his curious “sexual chocolate.”
The NY Giants wide receiver shared a SnapChat video in which he’s seen sitting in a hot tub singing Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing.” While the image may have left some women tingling, the pearl-clutching moment occurred when his teammate, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, pops up from under the water in front him and then the clip cuts off.
