Is this a Fitness Fad or Faux Pas? You Decide? 

*Are there any FITNESS FADS that actually work? Is there a FITNESS solution that would benefit the entire world? As Arsenio Hall, would say….” HMMMMM”. What do you think? What have you tried to get in shape?  How long did you try it and were you expecting immediate results. From TV to the internet and even misleading IG post & articles we are led to believe the hype that there are:

  1. Shoes that tone your legs.
    Fitness Fad or Faux Pas?
    2.  Sprinkles you add to your food that “BLOCK” the fat  3.  Shakes that totally cleanse or heal your body and help you shed some LBS.  4. The one workout DVD that totally helps you shed pounds in 30 days or completely tone ONLY one area of your body.  5. Or juices from one vegetable or teas that detox & flatten your tummy.

These ads, and overnight surgically enhanced insta-famous fitness experts make me nervous. So, today I’m going to set the record straight! If you’ve been the victim of a fat blocking sprinkles, shakes, teas, or faux fitness experts with surgically enhanced parts let me spill the real green tea.Eur web article 3 feb 23

Guess what product I did an info-mercial for?

Beyond the product let’s look at the juice cleansing craze. Think about this, if you are 21 years old is it possible to do a 3- 7 day juice cleanse that can heal, or detox your body? Let’s do the math. There are 365 days in a year, right? Unless we are doing a Porsha Williams year, ala RHOA it would be 265 days. Check Miss Porsha out this season on RHOA https://youtu.be/Brprd–19zkPorsha is laughing all the way to the bank and I couldn’t pass that up. So, let’s go with 365 days a year.

365 days X 21yrs = 7,665 days                      &  

 7,665 days x 2 meals per day = 15,330 days of eating

7,665 days x 3 meals per day = 22,995 meal 

       OR

7,665 days x 5 (3 meals 2 snacks) = 38,325 meals/snacks

So how would 3-7 days of cleansing or digesting a shake compare to 15,330, 22,995, or 38,325 days of us eating whatever we want? It may be tempting to fall prey to the latest cleanse products but ask yourself, is it realistic or a waste of money? This is not to say that a cleanse won’t work, but it must be natural & certified organic product that you can consider using for an extended period. (make sure you read the label and ingredients) Finding a long-term solution is more effective than fitting into the trend.
