*Hmm, are the walls starting to close in on Donald Trump or something? Is he starting to think folks are out to get him?

Maybe, but more than that, he needs a scapegoat. And that would be none other than his predecessor, President Barack Obama.

If you haven’t heard, President Trump is now accusing former President Obama of wiretapping phones in Trump Tower in New York City during the presidential campaign. Hmm, he may be right. If that’s the case, a lot of Democrats are going to be sending up high praise for the ex-prez for doing his job.

In any event, Trump made the assertions in a series of tweets Saturday morning. Those tweets come in the wake of an article Friday on the right-wing news site Breitbart claiming that the Obama administration obtained authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign.

Trump compared the alleged wiretapping to the Watergate scandal under former President Nixon.

He also suggests the possibility of a legal case over the alleged wiretapping.

So far Obama is yet to respond to the claims.

Meanwhile, it’s unclear whether Trump has any proof to substantiate the allegations or if he was referencing a classified briefing. If in fact intelligence agencies were tapping Trump Tower, it was likely related to the multiple investigations into Russian interference in the election, the Huffington Post points out.
