*In a case of life imitating art, the actor who plays Suge Knight in “Straight Outta Compton” was arrested and charged with assault stemming from an Aug. 9 fight at a New Jersey restaurant.

The incident went down at the Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Green Brook at around 7:30 pm. R. Marcos Taylor and the restaurant’s manager got into an argument, which resulted in Taylor allegedly punching the manager in the face multiple times. As several of the restaurant’s employees attempted to drag Taylor outside, the actor continued swinging wildly, pushing a woman in the head, according to Revolt.

The actor claims he was acting in self-defense after being jumped in the restaurant’s parking lot. He also says he didn’t punch or kick anyone, Revolt reports.

Taylor was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.

This isn’t his first brush with charged stemming from a physical altercation. In May, the actor was arrested after allegedly beating up a security guard at a resort in Miami. He was charged with misdemeanor battery in that incident.
