*Los Angeles, CA | In support of the forthcoming September 2017 launch event and multiple sclerosis campaign for women of color, legendary hip-hop artist, Nasir “Nas” Jones, has used his celebrity to bring awareness to the millions of women that are suffering from the unpredictable and often disabling disease of the central nervous system.
Earlier this month, Nas showed the power of hip-hop to fight diseases that disproportionately affect many women of color.
Nas shared the #WeAreIllmatic campaign video to over 3.5 million of his followers stating: “Salute. I am rocking with Y’all. Fight MS.”
The campaign, which is inspired by the icon’s 1994 chart topping album, has 10 key tent poles which reflect the songs from the album.
The first tent pole, GENESIS, is the campaign launch event taking place on September 18, 2017 in Los Angeles.
